Social Media Strategy
What is a Strategy? It is planning out actions to take to reach specific targets. It’s working towards attainment of goals, purposes and targets.
Everyone knows about social media – twitter, facebook, linkedin, blogging, etc. Many people have had the idea of using social media to sell their products. A very few have even used social media successfully to forward their products and expand their companies. Some companies even hire a person whose sole job is to do the social media for the company.
But without a strategy, you are just wasting your time chattering on the web. Not only that, but it can be dispersing because of the huge amount of interesting images, videos and posts. Being detoured off by interesting items can be a really big waste of time. If you don’t invest in some research to find the type of public you need to contact, and how to contact them socially, you’re just trying to communicate to the world population in hopes that someone will like you.
The next bit of research needed would be to find out how you can connect with that specific group of people using social media. Finding groups and individuals that are interested in your message may take some time but it’s worth the effort. Then you need to find out what is needed and wanted by that group of people, and figure out how you can supply it.
