I’ve found that the best thing to do is to go out and meet people – make connections. As much as I don’t like to talk, I’ve had to learn to speak up and keep mentioning that I am an artist. I usually always carry samples of my art in my purse so when someone asks me, “What kind of art do you do?”, I can whip out the pictures and show them. I’m rather right brained.. words somehow get tangled in my mouth, and it is easier for me to show someone my art than to explain it. Now when I meet someone and I show them my art or I mention my technique, they sometimes already know who I am because they heard about me from a friend. It’s amazing how people talk and the word gets out.
